Seorang petualang bermotor sejati pasti tak luput dari persiapan yang memang sudah menjadi ritual penting sebelum melakukan petualangan hebatnya. Kali ini kita mengintip persiapan yang dilakukan Mario untuk tunggangannya Honda CRF250Rally sebelum dikirim ke Afrika.
Dari tampang motor Honda CRF250Rally ini memang sudah bikin gemas dan sangar, memang diciptakan untuk kebutuhan pencinta adventure yang gemar berpetualang. Namun bagi Wheel Story tentu akan disesuaikan sesuai kebutuhan adventurenya maka untuk 'cockpit' nya sendiri ditambahkan perangkat unit GPS yang terlihat jelas dudukanya seperti 'tower' motor Dakar berada posisi tepat didepan kemudi, ditambah power socket 2 unit sebagai sumber listrik gadget yang dibawa (Kamera, Drone, Handphone, Powerbank, Bluetooth communication dan GoPro) dan handlebar bag terikat erat di bagian kemudi, serta stang kemudi menggunakan riser 20mm agar handling motor lebih nyaman. Juga ada 'wheel spanner' super ringan dan mungil yang membantu membuka baut roda ban, stel rantai dan jari-jari jauh lebih cepat dan praktis.
Bagian belakang di custom pannier rack dan luggage rack untuk ditaruh sidebag dan dufflebag untuk membawa peralatan camping, tools, spareparts, toileteries dan pakaian ganti. Bagian kiri dari body belakang sengaja diselipin jerrycan ukuran 4Liter buat jaga-jaga kalau nanti akan melewati rute yang panjang minim SPBU. Lalu biar lebih aman parkir di atas pasir atau tanah lembut maka bagian sidestand ditambahkan sidestand extension lalu bagian bawah akan dipasang alluminium skidplate untuk melindungi mesin dari benturan dan bebatuan. Dari segi mesin, suspensi dan ban masih standar bawaan pabrik.
Jadi inilah cerita Wheel Story yang sedang mempersiapkan perjalanan lintas negara yang akan dimulai di bulan Oktober nanti. Berikutnya akan kami update tentang dokumen perjalanan Internasional yang wajib dimiliki seorang Biker.

The left side of the rear body is deliberately inserted with a 4 liter size just in case if you will pass a long route with minimal gas stations. Then to be safer parking on sand or soft soil, the sidestand section is added sidestand extension, then the bottom will be installed alluminium skidplate to protect the engine from impact and rocks. In terms of engine, suspension and tires are still standard factory defaults.
